IMPORTANT NOTICE
Exploits Valley Minor Hockey Association Canteen
Dear Parents:
The Exploits Valley Minor Hockey Association needs your help.
It cost a lot of money to provide minor hockey programming for children. As an example, last year the ice time alone cost around $60,000.00. The registration fees help to offset some costs, but the fees do not cover all of the expenses.
Many minor hockey associations raise money continually through the year with ticket sales, bottle drives etc… The EVMHA does not raise money through such means as a rule. Our main source of fundraising is canteen sales.
Every year it is a struggle to get volunteers to work the canteen. We know that everyone is busy and that free time is hard to find. But, we need volunteers to work in the canteen. If we cannot find the volunteers needed, we will either have to raise the fees or find other ways to raise money.
If each parent says yes to volunteering in the canteen just a few times each year, it will spread the workload amongst all of us. Most shifts in the canteen are just for a few hours and it can be a good laugh.
Thanks for your support!
